The club would like to thank all the sponsors and supporters
who contributed to the 2009 rally.
Funds generated at the rally support local children's
charities. The Pediatric Burn-Scar Garment Fund provides what is known
as "Second Skin" garments for severe burn victims. These
vitally needed and very expensive items are covered by OHIP. The Freedom
Riders have donated $9,260.00 to the Children's Burn Scar Garment Fund in the
past five years.

In addition, in past years, the club has donated $6,000.00 worth of teddy bears to
the Air Ambulance's "Bear in the Air Program", over $7,000.00 to the
Telemedia Trust Fund, $2,000.00 to the Children's Wish foundation, $500.00 to
the MCTV Lion's Club Telethon, $500.00 to the War Amps Champs Program, $500.00
plus 1,022 man hours to the Special Olympics, 8 Air conditioners to the
Sudbury Regional Hospital Pediatric Ward and an electric wheelchair to the
Lion's club.
